Recipe List: Steps:
1 1/2 kilo of finely minced lamb
1/2 cup fine grain burgal (cracked wheat)
1 large brown onion finely chopped
or put through blender
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon pine nuts
1 large table spoon butter


 

 

Preparation
1) Pre heat oven at 180 degree
2) Soak burgal in cold water for at least 30 minutes
3) Remove water and squeeze excess water out by squeezing with hands

Once the preperation is done:
1) Place burgal, mince, salt and pepper into bowl
2) Mix thoroughly with hands or place into blender
3) Rub butter all over baking try
4) Place mixture into baking dish, press firmly and evenly
5) Cut into diamond shape
6) Place pine nuts into each diamond

Place into oven and bake for 30 minutes


 

Don't forget to decorate the Kibbeh with pinenuts before putting it in the oven. If I am not having a dinner party, I usually serve this up with salad and a dollop of greek yogurt. Tastes amazing!

You will see at the start of the video, we did some filming down at Swanbourne Beach in Western Australia. My daughter was on patrol so I thought I'd give non-Western Australians an indication of our lifestyle. Western Australia is famous for a beautiful coast-line. When people abroad ask me, "Is Australia a tropical island?" I answer "no..well...yes!" We are lucky.
